On July 11, 1405, Zheng He embarked on his first voyage to the Western Seas, marking the beginning of humanity’s journeys to the open oceans. For all seven voyages, Zheng He’s fleet set sail from Liujiagang in Taicang, Jiangsu. Today, this site has become the modern Taicang Port, which is now writing new chapters of maritime success along the Belt and Road Initiative.
