Peter T. C. Chang, research Associate of Malaysia-China Friendship Association and former Deputy Director of Institute of China Studies at University Malaya, stated that the establishment of Huangyan Dao Nature Reserve is a correct move worth supporting, all parties should work together to protect the marine ecology, rather than being drawn into disputes and threats by certain external forces.
