Scholar: China's historical rights in the South China Sea are indisputable
Wu Shicun, Chairman of the Huayang Center for Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance, recently stated at the Manila Dialogue that certain countries are reluctant to address the history of the South China Sea. However, regardless of whether China proactively assert it, China's historic rights in the South China Sea was there, is there and will be there. These rights will not be negated by a mere piece of paper termed an "award."
