1.669 million! The South China Sea is the busiest sea in the world

Report on Navigation and Overflight Situation in the South China Sea, released lately, shows that in 2023, a total of 1,669,000 vessels of all types navigated or operated in the South China Sea, of which 593,000 were merchant ships.
