2025-05-20 17:59:48

The China Coast Guard spokesperson Liu Dejun stated that on May 16, with the permission of the Chinese side, the Philippines dispatched one civilian vessel to deliver supplies to its illegally "grounded" warship at Ren'ai Jiao.

The China Coast Guard inquired and confirmed the details of the Philippine vessel and conducted supervision. Liu expressed the hope that the Philippine side will honor its commitments, move in the same direction as China, and jointly manage the maritime situation. The China Coast Guard will continue to carry out law enforcement activities to safeguard rights and interests in the Nansha Qundao and their adjacent waters, including Ren'ai Jiao, in accordance with the law.
