The Chinese Embassy in the Philippines stated Tuesday that recently, multiple areas in the Philippines have suffered significant casualties and property damage due to typhoon. "We express our condolences for the lives lost and extend our sympathies to the bereaved families, the injured, and all those affected in the disaster-stricken areas," the embassy said in the statement.

According to the statement, in the aftermath of the disaster, relevant Chinese provinces, Chinese enterprises in the Philippines, and overseas Chinese communities were among the first to extend assistance to the affected people in the Philippines. Out of humanitarian spirit and the friendship toward the Philippine people, China will provide cash and emergency material assistance to the people of the Philippines, the embassy stated.

"We wish the local affected population an early overcoming of difficulties and success in rebuilding their homes," said the embassy.
