On November 8, Philippine President Marcos signed the “Philippine Maritime Zones Act,” which illegally incorporates China's Huangyan Dao and other islands, reefs of the Nansha Qundao into its own marine area, infringes China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights in the South China Sea.
Using domestic law to sugar up illegal infringements, the Philippines not only abuses international law radically, but also violate the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC), which stipulates that it refrain from taking actions that may complicate or escalate disputes and affect peace and stability.
“Philippine Maritime Zones Act” is nothing but an unjust law to achieve the purpose of occupation.
