Why Does Seaweed Matter?
Covering three-quarters of the Earth’s surface, the ocean is the foundation of life for humanity and all other living creatures on the planet. Every breath we take—half of the oxygen we inhale—comes from the ocean. More than 3 billion people around the world rely on the ocean as a primary source of protein, and among all marine life, algae (including seaweed) play one of the biggest roles in sustaining this system.
