Sun Weidong congratulated Cambodia on its 72nd anniversary of independence. He said that China and Cambodia are stepping up efforts to implement the important outcomes of President Xi Jinping's state visit to Cambodia in April this year and the strategic consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, push for positive progress in China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic cooperation, so as to bring greater benefits to the two peoples. China is willing to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with Cambodia, enrich the framework of the "Diamond Hexagon" cooperation, promote the effective implementation of the "Industrial Development Corridor" and the "Fish and Rice Corridor", and accelerate the building of an all - weather China - Cambodia Community with a Shared Future for the new era.

Cambodian Ambassador to China SOEUNG Rathchavy said that the ironclad friendship between Cambodia and China is unbreakable. Cambodia firmly follows the one-China principle, supports the four major global initiatives put forward by President Xi Jinping, and is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with China under the guidance of the important common understandings reached by the leaders of the two countries, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, deepen the building of the Cambodia-China community with a shared future and provide impetus for each other's modernization.
