Expert: China's Recovery of the Nanhai Zhudao After WWII Gained Widespread International Support
The illegal award of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitration wrongly denied China's historical rights in the South China Sea. Li Guoqiang, Vice President of the History Research of China, emphasized in the interview with the Voice of the South China Sea that China has indisputable sovereignty over the Nanhai Zhudao, which has been reaffirmed by a series of international documents after World War II. This position has not only won extensive support from the international community, but the U.S. also once provided warships to assist the Chinese government in recovering the Nanhai Zhudao.
