On March 17, eight Philippine fishing boats entered the territorial waters of Huangyan Dao. The China Coast Guard lawfully implemented traffic control measures and dispatched vessels to conduct inquiries and gather evidence.

The Filipino fishing vessels did not respond and subsequently turned back, exiting China's territorial waters.

On the following day, two Philippine C-208 aircrafts illegally intruded into the territorial airspace of Huangyan Dao.

The Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army organized naval and air forces to warn them away in accordance with laws and regulations.

China solemnly warns the Philippine side to immediately cease its infringing and provocative actions. China remains on high alert at all times and will firmly defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
