Zheng Yongnian, Dean of the School of Public Policy at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), stated at the Boao Forum for Asia that all countries jointly developing, protecting, and managing marine resources is China’s original aspiration in building a maritime community with a shared future. As a major maritime nation, China actively participates in global governance, promoting the shared development of the marine economy and mutual understanding among maritime nations.
